Eclipse Solaire (French for solar eclipse) is the source of the group’s name Eclipse Sol-Air. (Sol: French for earth, Air: French for air). It also provides the basis for the music that the German-French musicians compose themselves:
----Mystical and with goosebumps like a solar eclipse (Eclipse),
----earthy and heavy at times (Sol),
----as well as airily light and exuberant (Air)
----and hot and majestic like the sun (Solaire).
A lineup featuring the classical violin, flute, acoustic guitar and the piano along with powerful electric guitar riffs and precise, rousing and even artistic drum rhythms tightly coordinated with groovy bass provides the support for the two vocal artists at the front, Mireille and Philippe, to perform their musically perfect stage show.
