Philippe meets up with Hans Zimmer in London
Philippe and ESA manager Hanshelmut invited to meet up with Hans Zimmer (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Zimmer) in London
The famous film music composer, Hans Zimmer, invited Philippe to London for 10 days on 29 June. This gave Philippe the chance to get to know lots of big names in the film music business and have in-depth talks with Hans Zimmer and his star musicians about the principles of film music compositions. Hans Zimmer expressed great interest in the new album Bartok’s Crisis by Eclipse Sol-Air when he was presented with a copy.
Eclipse-Sol-Air manager Hanshelmut also flew over 5 days later and made lots of contacts with the big names in the music business from Hollywood. Along with Hans Zimmmer he also met top violinist Aleksey Igudesman and producer Steven Kofsky, to name just two.
At the invitation of Hans Zimmer, Philippe and Hanshelmut were then able to participate in a totally awesome concert by Hans Zimmer and John Powell in the park of the stately home of the Spencer family in Althorp, not far from London (where Lady Di grew up and is buried), in which the two star composers staged a live performance of their famous film music with a big orchestra on a styled stage while the gigantic video panels on both sides of the stage showed clips from the films and the concert itself as filmed by 3 cameras.
